Wind Cave National Park
One of world’s oldest and most unique cave system is a must visit in South Dakota. Over 147 miles of caves surveyed but about 1,000 miles more to explore. Wind Cave has over 95% of world’s known Boxwork formation. Just make sure and buy a tour ticket early in the day.
Devils Tower National Monument
Since we were in the area, we had to visit Devils tower for the 40th anniversary of Close Encounters of the Third Kind (thought I watched the movie AFTER) I visited Devils Tower
Mount Rushmore and the more interesting Custer State Park
Mount Rushmore is one of the lest interesting places in Black Hills, SD. This state has SO MUCH more to offer!
